Did they account for all the privately owned guns in the United States?

Apparently not. They have the pathetic "only government can help us" mindset of most of the world. Of course, even the American zombie movies fail to take into account the amount of gun owners in the USA. When I first saw The Walking Dead, which supposedly took place in Georgia, the first thing I thought of was "There should be a HECK of a lot more guns around!". Oh, and "There should be a HECK of a lot more black people around!" Unless, of course, the show was suggesting that all the black people got eaten first.
