So I was at work today and a customer said he found pictures of Trump for sale. I said that I didn't know we had those available (clueless). He said, "Yeah, they were in the BATHROOM surrounded by a horseshoe frame." I said, "So, you are not a fan." He said that he wasn't a fan and that he had "the guy in the back" cracking up about his hilarious description of how his rump was exposed to Trump. I said, "Well, I guess no one loves everyone all of the time."
What I wanted to say was, "Hey, you inbred poc, I just dropped off an obama in the bathroom and everyone thought THAT was hilarious! But, hey, I'm at work so I can't tell you what I think so I REALLY don't give a @#$% what you think because I can't say what I think BACK AT YOU.
Isn't there some movie out about how one day a year you can say what you really think??? If there isn't, there needs to be one. Or on the last day before retirement I can really just say what I want, right?
OMG. People make me crazy.
Speak for yourself. I spent eight years in my neck of California badmouthing the moslem in public. I even had a "F Obama" hat made for me in the mall and wore it proudly.
Nevada is being flooded with escapees from LA. ( to Vegas). Wyoming ( excepting the Jerk Hole resort of course) seems reasonably conservative still. Only one very small country voted for The Bitch what do you think are sanest best places ?
I moved from California to New Hamshire 2 years ago. You will be very glad you left. It is like moving to a different planet.
New Hampshire, sorry.
"The High Country" is the Sawtooth Range - magnificent and very lightly populated, no big cities. "The Panhandle" is also called "The Inland Northwest" and has some characteristics of the northwest. It's a wonderful place and very welcoming! It's starting to get noticed, too. Idaho and Boise are ranked high on the latest "fastest growing" lists.
Thanks. We saw the northern panhandle years ago- beautiful! My cobcegns are the cold and all that population growth in Boise- thats what is destroying Nevada ( Vegas) with left wing Californication refugees ( same thing that destroyed Oregon and wash state politically). So? Maybe will try to learn more about Wyoming and possibly Montana.. all cold tho. We checked Texas but its hot everywhere there. All 100 counties we checked. We may need to adapt a lot - these states all have so many attractions!! But can older folks adapt to harsh weather conditions? We need to think this over. (Not prone to sunbird moving much) Cour d Alene and surroundings also the parts of Montana and Wyoming we saw, really looked wonderful. But that was in springtime. We may need to try visiting in winter!!
I moved to Meridian, ID 3 years ago. Meridian is right next to Boise. People in my area are well aware of the influx of Californians. There is concern they will turn ID into a s***hole like California.
I wish California would secede.
“The Purge” is a better solution
Don’t stoop to their level.
Should have just smiled and said, “Better look again, I just put an Obama in that frame.”
We went round and round on the weather problem for years. Fortunately, the San Fran Bay Area where we’ve lived for 45 years is quite mild in the winter, so we will return here where we’ve had all of our friends for winters. The unbelievable beauty and thousands of miles of trails here is hard to beat. It does get cold — the mountains east of us are snow-covered this week, but 20s low 30s is not bad and that usually happens only in Nov and Dec.
We thought about going south, but the southwest gets you into desert quickly and neither of us were thrilled about that. Lots of people like desert living - it just wasn’t for us.
The area we selected has a very strong year-round community. We last visited during Labor Day and my wife took a stroll down one of the lanes. She struck up a conversation with a woman working in her yard and next thing we know we are over at her house at 5 pm for wine and cheese!
Going far north seems nuts for people in their 60s, but we are in the very fortunate position of being able to own a second home. If it doesn’t work out, we can always sell (assuming the housing bubble doesn’t collapse). With inflation picking up, real estate might be a wise investment decision, too.
Why be willing to give up the most beautiful state in the nation? Force the damn liberals and especially illegals out instead! People are too quick to retreat to a small set of core conservative states, but that core is rapidly shrinking. If you got all liberal states to secede, there won’t be many left. We either fight this on all fronts, especially education, or we lose.
Nothing like Trump to scare the sh** out of a liberal.
All we need to lose is California and their electoral votes.
Here’s what I do. Appear to not understand. Make them explain it and then ask questions. Eventually, they will recognize that it was a lame joke that fell flat.
Another one I have used is “Can you believe Hillary messed that up? Biden or Sanders would have mopped up the floor with Trump”. It makes them confront their poor choice and Hillary’s dirty dealings to get the nomination.
One of the questions we ask in EMS to determine level of consciousness in a patient is who is the president of the United States ? Got some great answers in Obamas usurpation.
I guess asking the customer if he made a nice load of Obama dolls would have been frowned upon by management.
