A bizarre form of Virtue Signalling in which they are compelled to let the rest of us know just how very intellectually superior they are.
They no doubt only read for entertainment, and being purists, their books are surely written only on papyrus or vellum, using the finest of hand-squeezed squid ink.
The real die-hard Virtual Signalers even eschew that bit of modernity and read only Cuneiform tablets.
I always read their posts in the voice of the snooty guy who asks for Grey Poupon.

I heard that. Very smart indeed. I am very selective what I use my home laptop for. But I believe I will need to get a second laptop soon since my daughter started college. She prefers the tower we built because it is so powerful. But then takes my laptop for convenience to do homework (college) sometimes. I really hate to spend that so putting it off. Luckily, she is going to college for a security degree in IT so I am counting on her being very careful.
Did some snooping on the net today about the helicopters.

Helicopters? That reminds me. Negan’s guy asked the garbage lady about the helipad in last night’s episode right before he shot them all. He asked what that place used to be. She just replied a ‘dump’.
He asked about the Helipad and something else being there. They didn’t show them. But it is clearly things that you don’t find in a garbage dump. And it was important enough for them to say it.

I think kids getting degrees in security IT should have their degrees for free. You should be very proud. You raised a kid with clue on what is important.

This is the post-post-apocalyptic. You got to see what the world looked like after the apocalypse in the first few seasons. What happens after that? If you were in the world of the show empty highways and empty store shelves wouldn't be much of a thing at this point.
