I think children that grow up in very wealthy homes are much higher prone to be screwed up in adult life. I can name five friends whose kids are screwed up. They are all well off to very wealthy. The common denominator? Growing up, they never worked.
I’m not wealthy but I am ok financially. But, I knew the value of WORK. I told both kids when they went off to college I’m not paying one thin dime on tuition. You have to WORK to pay for it because you learn more those 4 or 5 years working than you do in the classroom. They both worked all through college, both earned degrees, both are making six figures. Both happy! Never any drug issue.
As Thomas Paine once said........”what we obtain too cheaply we eschew too lightly”. Great advice for all!
