“a security guard for Gus’ Pizza Lounge”
Nothing says ‘leave now’ quite as much as a security guard in a food joint.
Turn around at the door.
I’ll bet all the beer/booze guzzled was the real problem.

Nothing says leave now quite as much as a security guard in a food joint. Along with the sign that says "No Guns, No Knives, No Colors." And a sign-in sheet at the door.

Pizza is a dangerous business. Once upon a time when I worked at Domino's, I was going to get the entrenching tool from my car, and remove someone's face from his head.
That is absolutely true. Fortunately, Discipline and Spirit prevailed, and as far as I know, that person's face is still attached to his head.

Yup, definitely an indicator that ya might just have a better night if you go home, call Dominoes and kick back.

Probably more of a bouncer.
The tv news clip said "...around 3AM, after the bars let out".
Trying to pick up all the munchie/sobering up traffic, I guess.

I'm glad it was a stiletto.. I'm glad it wasnt a knife or a gun, said Walter. Better would be a pump, or a flip-flop. Or perhaps a nice light Chinese silk slipper.

This would not have happened in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s or maybe even the 80’s, 90’s.
Dang, have we lost our minds ? (don’t answer that).

I don’t know about later, but back in the fifties, we weren’t idiotic wussies.
Despite what happened, Walter says he holds no ill will towards Loring.
I want her to have a wonderful life, I want her kids to prosper, I want her husband to prosper, and I want everyone to just live.”
