Does France still restrict the amount of foreign films on their screens and tvs?

France is part of the EU which requires 50% EU produced content. France may add to this requirement, and probably still has a 40% quota of French produced content (which can be part of the 50% EU).

But I was talking about China which allows around 34 non-China made films to be shown in its theaters each year. Sometimes they make exceptions. Some people include this along with other tech restrictions (no Facebook, Google, etc.) as part of the “Great Firewall” of China.
