TULSA, Oklahoma - A Tulsa man shot several times while trying to rob a Tulsa liquor store last month is now out of the hospital and in the Tulsa County jail. Tyrone Lee's jail photo shows his face covered in bandages and wearing a neck brace.
Police say the 36-year-old Lee tried to rob the Forest Acres Liquor store near 12th and Memorial on February 22nd. They say a woman who owns the store and her daughter were behind the counter at the time and they shot Lee several times.
Sorry ‘bout the title...
Great. Now he’ll sue the ladies.
....bandage face is facing some rough
time in prison. The inmates already know his story...have a good time Tyrone...
While a larger caliber may have eliminated any future litigation by the perp, in this case the rimfire proved to be better than nothing.
Shouda shot him in the eyes.
I think he’ll come after those 2 when he gets out.
Yeah, he probably will.
I don’t know. That didn’t work out so well the first time.
There is a store camera video of this and they shot him at point blank range and some how did not take him down. He kept coming after them. They need more then range time, they need training in how to take down someone coming at you.
Right. As long as they are always packing and not just guns under the counter.
He’s on video. He’s screwed. The best he can hope for is a jury that feels sorry for him.
Always interesting to parse these articles. Notice the verbiage - the man was “trying” to rob a liquor store. They are loathe to ever, ever make a simple declarative statement. He was a robber. “Alleged” maybe, but then this adjectival courtesy is never extended to the victims.
Rough business to be in these days.
Too damn bad he lived.
Yes, I am irritated when they parse even thought the guilt is clear and even admitted.
He did it, he got shot and he is guilty. End of story. Punish him.
Of course I’m just ranting because what I want will never happen. We are civilized you know.
