Never gonna happen, McD's was cowed by a lawsuit filed by a Hindi over the beef lard in their shortening and the cries of healthy food by do gooders and they threw everyone else in the McDumpster to pander to them!
I mean just how big a segment of their sales came from Hindus? And every time they pander to food nazis their sales fall.
They should just write of the sales to supposed vegetarians, Hindu and Sikh, put the beef tallow shortening back in the stores with full disclaimer and I bet sales would actually go up.
My gosh, if only, right from the beginning, they had said thank you for your input but respectfully, we are not a restaurant that caters to vegetarians and we never will be. So suck it.
Not that that wouldn’t be different in India of course, there I would fully EXPECT them to take all that into consideration.
