Cats can cure themselves from diabetes...

I’ve personally seen it.

I was diagnosed 20 years ago with pre-diabetes. I asked the doc what that meant and he said that if I continued to eat the same way I had been, that eventually it would develop into full-blown diabetes. Too many calories from processed carbohydrates he said.

That scared me. So I went home and started researching the combination of high HDL cholesterol and high triglycerides on the internet and found that just changing my diet would help a lot.

So the very next day I changed my diet. More proteins, fats and simple carbs and drank lots of water. No processed carbs or sugars. It wasn't that hard. I got to eat three or more meals a day and always felt full with lots of energy.

What happened next was amazing. When I returned to the doctor after three months, I had lost 38 lbs. and all of my blood work was back to normal. I was no longer pre-diabetic. The doc was shocked. He said no one ever listened to his advice. But I did and it made a dramatic improvement to my health.

My brother-in-law had Type II diabetes for several years. When I shared my weight loss and labs results with him, he couldn't believe it. He changed his diet too. 8 months later, he had lost 80+ lbs. and was diabetes free.

This keto way of eating may not work for everyone but it worked for me and dramatically worked for my brother-in-law. We both have kept up with this way of eating with some exceptions (I just turned 70 and had a big piece of my birthday cake) and are feeling better because of the diet.

The government food pyramid is upside down and wrong. It would be more accurate if the pyramid sat on its peak instead of on its base.
