Why not use the money comfiscated in drug raids to pay for the funerals?
Cremation is about $500.
That’s far less than the cost to store the bodies indefinitely.
As for those that killed themselves with dope, it’s hard to muster sympathy for them.
Wondering how many of these overdoses are suicides by terminally I’ll in the last stages of illness?
If the number of deaths begins to exceed the rate at which new addicts are being created, then the population of users will diminish.
States are on their own for this one.
We need the death penalty for drug dealers NOW.
Just my opinion, but I think everyone deserves a proper burial. Even addicts. It really is sad to think that people have screwed up their lives so badly with drugs and/or alcohol that they have nothing left and no family who wants to claim them when they die. Cremation may be a good option. I wonder if there is a charity that handles things like this.
After a certain time on ice, they should be donated to medical schools.
What’s the matter with people today? Put ‘em in wood boxes, and plant ‘em. No embalming. Embalming is retarded. If the religion of the deceased is unknown, don’t mark their marker up with any religious symbol (terrible sin to many).
And there ya go: cheap, biodegradable and all. There’s plenty of room for everybody! Let’s stop freaking out about it.
I know I’m not paying attention to this particular issue, but WTF?!
What on Earth is going on with this? Is this really this bad?
The Opioid Crisis is also backdooring a soft form of gun control.
Many parents and probably grandparents are housing their recovering sons and daughters - and are being forced to move their guns off-site to satisfy probation and parole requirements.
On the surface, this may seem well meaning and for the safety of the visiting officers.
But given the scope of this crisis - taken as a whole - that’s a lot of people who committed no crime at all - who are now restricted.
Is it a problem? - Im not sure - but something I hear more and more about.
End loader.
Ditch.
Problem solved.

A guy I knew OD’d. The funeral home had a no embalming deal that was pretty cheap. His mom insisted on open casket. He died face down and the blood collected in his face. My friend who was at the funeral said it was pretty rough.
These addicts have no idea the human cost to others beside themselves.
I am finding hard to believe that these folks can afford to pay for enough opioids to overdose on them!!! I can see overdosing on bad heroine but opioids on the street are NOT cheap and I would assume it would take quite a few to overdose on them!!! Am I wrong about the amount it would take to overdose on them????
