I think Rush used to talk about the press getting their 4am talking points in the 90’s.
I don't recall him mentioning this until 2000. When Cheney put himself in the VP slot and Rush did a montage of all the media pundits saying "gravitas" in their announcements. That's when I first heard him mention "The Daily Talking Points Memo". The Journo-list uncovering followed that.
