The point is doctors over-prescribing.

And you keep trying to spread out the doses over the whole population. It isn’t spread out like that.

I realize that but the article was trying to make it seem like it was a huge amount by stating how many it would be ‘per person’- the truth is that breaking it down ‘per person’ shows that it’s only about 10 pills ‘per person’ per year- So if we’re talking about 1/3 of the population of that county- then it’s only about 30 pills ‘PER PATIENT’ per year- not even 1/2 a month’s worth (which would be about 70 or so- sometimes 120 depending on prescription)

Are they given all at once on average? Spread out over the year? - again- the numbers sound huge- but breaking down the math shows that it’s not all that large ‘per person’ (depending on how they are prescribed, ie- all at once? spread over the year?)-

I’m not suggesting there might not be a problem- however, the numbers look huge until it gets broken down
