That’s what I thought, too. Cops pulled the dog off and he still wanted to go in and finish the job. That’s a well trained K9 Officer!

Lucky bastard didn’t even get shot. Nice dog work.

I don’t think he’ll be using that arm again. That dog probably ripped his muscles into ground beef. Left a nice crimson pool on the sidewalk. Good dog!

Oh yes. The cops love their vicious dogs.

"The cops love their vicious dogs."

I suspect that the dog is not always "unfriendly".

I think my dog is a herder of those critters outside of the nuclear and outer packs, but some ground hogs have died for their sins of trespassing.

The deer and turkeys not so much. Size and numbers apparently matter.

Went all through my old neighborhood of 25 years. I recognized a lot of the streets.

That’s pretty good but nothing will ever beat these “dirty infidel dogs” giving a little street justice to the pigs who threw rocks at them.

Well that was fun to watch. Glad my car was not around there. I wonder if he was a citizen?

That K9 likely belonged to the Santa Ana PD. I know the Irvine PD K9s and it did not look like either one. Plus the Santa Ana PD vehicles were in the lead when the suspect’s vehicle crashed, not the Irvine PD.

Here’s the Irvine PD press release:

Carjacking in Irvine Occurs During Pursuit
Irvine, Calif. (Feb. 26, 2018) – A female Irvine resident was the victim of a carjacking during a pursuit initiated outside of the City on Monday.

On Monday evening, the Santa Ana Police Department informed the Irvine Police Department of a pursuit in which a suspect was driving in and out of Irvine. At approximately 5:40 p.m., the suspect came to a dead end on Rosa Drew. At that time, a female Irvine resident was backing up her black Audi SUV. The suspect exited his vehicle, opened the door of the Audi and pulled the woman from her vehicle.

The victim’s brother drove up and saw the crime occurring. When he tried to intervene, the suspect pushed the gas, endangering the brother. He also nearly hit the female victim with the car. Neither victim was injured during the incident.

The suspect then left the area, at which point the pursuit continued. The pursuit terminated a short time later in the area of Kelvin and Jamboree. The Santa Ana Police Department arrested the suspect, identified as Antonio Padilla, Jr., 37.

Anyone with information on the carjacking incident is asked to call the Irvine Police Department at 949-724-7000.

I think the dogs see it as a big chew toy running away, and it’s his job to get the toy. And allowing them to get the bite and maybe squeeze in a few more, are very therapeutic for the dog, giving them a sense of accomplishment, all while having fun. Like a day at the park chasing Frisbees.

After watching 20 minutes of that out-of-control idiot smashing into cars, manhandling a woman and her would-be rescuer, running numerous lights and stop signs, and seriously endangering thousands of citizens, vigilante justice would have been to let the dog tear him to bits. The dog was running twice as fast as the fleeing perp. The dog did a great job.

What is your point?

the Fur Missile is named Puskas.

Puskas may have broken a couple of teeth while administering justice to Antonio Padilla Jr, who was on early parole.

” I wonder if he was a citizen?”

He would be if Dubya and/or Obama had gotten their way.

I had to look up that name. It's Hungarian.

It's a name with a rich heritage.

The cops love their vicious dogs. It’s not a secret.

When they sic the dog on person and the dog gets killed, they actually have funeral for the dog! I’m not making this up.

Heh, same here. Even drove right by a place I worked at long ago.

Sure has changed in the 20+ years since I left.
