And I’m still trying to think of a name for the thread you want to start for eating meatless but nutritionally complete.
Aside from *Eating Meatless and Healthy* or something really original and creative like that, I’m at a loss.
If you want a ready-made audience, the recipe thread could be a good spot. I imagine JT wouldnt mind a guest chef one time :-)
If youre planning on making it more prepper related, youre welcome to put it here. We could put out a special ping. If you want to do it in a standalone thread, be happy to give you the ping list I have so far.

I read about how nutritious and healthy barley is. Finally ordered regular barley and barley flakes to mix in with oats for cereal.
After many efforts, I gave all the barley to my friend with goats. I could not figure out a way to make it edible. :-( It was always slimy.
I did manage to mix some barley flour while making bread, though.
I’m sure that recipe is a complete protein but you’d have to eat a lot of it to get a lot of protein, but what’s interesting is if one eats legumes, grains and some milk products on a regular basis it’s almost impossible not to get enough protein. Especially if you toss in a few nuts or seeds, tahini, almond butter, or even baked potatoes and broccoli, for instance. Many vegetables have surprising amounts of protein.
