Zombies like tight shoes?

Reminds me of an racist Earl Butts joke that I cannot tell in polite society.

What I'd like an explanation to is where are the critters that feast off dead tissue? From feral hogs to feral dogs(seen some)and crows that should follow "the Herds" like black clouds, and to flies and their offspring, maggots that should burst forth from the zombies when struck.(yeah, image THAT the next time Rick or Carol is knocked down and wrestle with these living ghouls.).

Which, if we are airing our gripes, what these creatures are are Ghouls, not zombies. Whether talking historical or fictional, the supernatural creature that ate flesh were called Ghouls while zombies were the undead under the control of the living. But zombies didn't start being confused with ghouls until the seventies with the Living dead movies. Even Night of the Living Dead, the grandfather of modern film zombies, called these creatures "ghouls"

As a traditional purist I say, words mean things!

"No to Zombies, Yes to Ghouls"
