I was an American Legion Servian League relief pitcher at 18 back before it got all participatory like now....you were drafted then ....from earlier little league and pony then babe Ruth in that order...not like today which is pitifully soft....and had already dropped all my other athletic stuff a couple of years before for drugs and girls..pot mostly...er....daily after a life of track football basketball and football from ages 7-15/16
The league asked me to cut my hair to above my collar ....I had fastest yet wildest arm around....

Servian league back then was last summer league where scouts from minors and colleges recruited and I had been chatted with by small schools if I could get my arm under control...

One thing for sure- these olympians have cured me of my “America first” Olympic xenophobia. I’d prefer to watch someone respectful of their own country to these spoiled, roided-up pansybabies.
