A bolt action 270 rifle is my only choice. Remington model 700 is nice. The one I use the most is a Ruger Mark II model 77.
I agree with this. Get a Leupold VXII 3x9 scope. For deer any 130 grain cartridge will do. Sight the rifle to shoot 2 high at 100 yards and you will be good to 250 yards without hold over. This ammo is pricey but very good. It will take care of everything from coyotes to elk.
