My daughter and son-in-law have a Gravely on their farm. They mow a couple of acres every week (sometimes twice). It zips all over the place - she makes it look so easy. I tried it and it was too much for me....but she goes around those trees like nothing.
It does take some getting use to. Funny story, my very first time on my brand new Gravely 0-turn I was out near the road mowing around the culverts that ran under the driveway to our house. It was on a hill so I very carefully and slowly went up the hill trying to cut as closely to the steel culvert as possible and suddenly it seemed I was about to hit it and jerked the levers the wrong way and the whole mower passed over the culvert. All I could hear was the sound of metal blades hitting this hunk of steel...ruined them of course.
I remember pulling over and turning off the mower and sitting there damn near about to cry. My first day on my brand new $4000.00 mower!
Turned out okay though...had to change the blades of course.
