By the time the final group of figure skaters took the ice at Gangneung Ice Arena, things had been pretty much decided. Russia would win its first gold of the games, and the only question was whether Alina Zagitova or Evgenia Medvedeva would stand on the top level of the podium. The Russian national anthem would not be played at the medal ceremony later, though that didn't seem to matter to the boisterous fans who helped pack the arena, waving Russian flags and signs as the two top teenagers squared off. They, like most, understood that the whole "Olympic Athletes from Russia" label was always a face-saving charade by the International Olympic Committee.

I turned the Olympics off after that punk dragged the American flag all around the ground while he posed for the international cameras, but last night I caught a glimpse of the women’s hockey team during the award ceremony, arms linked and all standing and swaying, just like the compromising NoFansLeft. ...... They had it planned ... The powers that be have absolute control on how America is being pictured and the ones that COULD do some good, aren’t even trying.
I thought diversity was OUR strength. Norway must be the most diverse nation on earth!
What do they need to ponder? Send your best and not your most diverse. Pretty simple.
