LOVED THAT GAME! Had a bit of a crush on Jim Craig, too! GO USA!
One of the best sports documentaries I’ve ever seen.
The Broad Street Bullies

True. The U.S. team didn’t get much notice back then, but Herb Brooks was quietly telling USA Hockey officials that he thought they were good enough to win a bronze medal. The guy was a coaching genius, and he had the perfect mix of players on that team.
“that, coming from a guy who played old time hockey with no mask!!!!!!”
Uh, some people reading may not know who Worsley was. He played old time hockey GOALIE with no mask.
I saw Worsley in the net for the Northstars toward the end of his career. The Big Bad Bruins were at their peak and had something like 69 shots on net in a 4-4 tie. No mask.
Going to check it out! I have sworn off Rock documentaries, I just watched the Chicago one, and before that, the Eagles one, and I came to the conclusion there is no need to watch any more of those. They are depressing, and the story is always the same!
Thanks for the link!
What a sicko, eh? I loved meeting him...I was a goalie, and there is a reason that a lot of goalies are nicknamed “Gump”!
(Every hockey player has a nickname, right? Usually his name with “ie” on the end...:)
