Three falls, one question: What's wrong with U.S. women's figure skating?

Just a guess......... most American girls who are inclined to feel like taking part in a sport when young may realize even then that a very, very few will ever receive notoriety, fame, or money from ice skating.

It has a lot to do with our base "culture" that emphasizes fame and fortune. And also, becoming a great figure skater is a real pain for the child AND the parent(s). Taking the child to a proper rink to get practice time is very time consuming and difficult for mostly all parents today.

Probably not enough male womens skaters
