....”President trump is jeopardizing his entire presidency with this announcement”...

Well the fact you began with the above statement says you’re unwilling to hear what they want even.......Trump cannot sit back as if nothings happened, nor close his ears to those who are hurting by looking unnerved by these events happening in our country.... Saying he’s “open” is a good thing......

Further tell me why a student under 21 yrs. old needs a “fast firing” gun?

I’m sorry but you are eating the libtard lies hook line and sinker. 18 year olds serve in the military. They are adults. The fact that you think someone doesn’t “need” a “fast firing” weapon is irrelevant. In fact, teens younger than 18 routinely hunt with semi automatic weapons.

Teens use them to target practice. They use them to learn firearms. They use them for a host of reasons.

Moreover, whether you like it or not, the Second Amendment doesn’t stop because of your judgment on what people of any age “need.”

Nope, I don't think you understand how this whole freedom thing works. You tell me why they don't need one and why your opinion or anyone elses over rules that students god given rights to own a fast firing gun if he so pleases.

1) The same reasons the police need them. 2) There are weekly examples of teenagers using these light rifles to defend themselves and others. 3) an AR-15 isn't a "fast-firing" gun. It's a "normal-firing" light rifle. 4) are you advocating them having heavier firearms?

####

An AR15 is a medium power rifle that fires no faster than a Ruger 10/22 or an old Remington Nylon 66. A few years ago when the IRS requested bids for AR15s they called them semiautomatic ‘PERSONAL PROTECTION weapons. The request for bid also specified that each rifle be equipped with “STANDARD 30 ROUND MAGAZINE. So according to the government they are not assault weapons and a 30 round magazine is standard NOT a high capacity magazine,

An AR15 is a wonderful home protection weapon. It is light. It has a mild kick. It is easier to shoot accurately than a handgun or a heavier rifle. It is an especially good home defense choice for a woman because of these features.

There is no reason to keep adults between 18 and 21 from having these personal protection weapons. The AR15 has been available for civilian purchase since 1964 and is the most popular rifle sold in the U.S. There are millions of them in private hands. Very few of them are ever used in a crime. In fact, according to the FBI rifles of all kinds are used in fewer murders than knives.

The AR15 is not the problem. The leftists have demonized it and people who don’t know any better fall for it because it looks like a military weapon. The truth is I don’t know of a single country that uses the AR15 as their military weapon.

Don’t fall for the BS the leftists spews. Their goal isn’t safety. It’s control.

"Further tell me why a student under 21 yrs. old needs a 'fast firing' gun?"

* Lawrence of Arabia asks, "Why does anyone need a fast firing gun?"

* Why do 18-year-old soldiers need them?

* Why do 18-year-old police need them?

* Why should we want a few hundred thousand young men and women self-trained in advance in rifle marksmanship without paying tax dollars to have the government do it for them?

[Clue: insurance against foreign invasion, which would be far more likely after a foreign enemy nation launches nukes.] Young folks, on average, can run much farther and faster with fewer injuries. I fired far better on the ranges than most of the other soldiers because of previous self-training.

Why is that question even relevant, given that it's a constitutional matter? They're adults at 18. The Second Amendment is one of their human rights.

Secondarily and aside from the more important consideration mentioned above, some of them might need to try to defend their spouses and children in their homes against criminal invaders who are armed with fast firing weapons.

Since when does any citizen of majority age need to give you or anyone a “reason” to own a Lawful device?

Concentrate on the freakin’ cause (prescription drugs) rather than the shiny media bauble.
