I have no problem with tighter controls on the mentally ill obtaining guns....but how can that even be monitored when that information is private to begin with.
Also raising to 21 yrs. for kids having semi-automatic weapons like ar 15’s...( with exceptions).
How can someone have 39 encounters with law enforcement and still be able to pass the background check.
The fact that he was never arrested for all the above allowed him to pass the background check.

The problem with that is that anyone who has ever been on anti-depressants will be judged to be ‘mentally ill’ or ‘potential danger to society’- Millions and millions of decent people have taken anti-depressants at one time or another, and who pose no danger to society, but once a ‘mentally ill bill’ is passed- you can bet libs WILL push for anyone who has ever taken them to be banned from owning guns- domestic violence folks too- no matter how slight or false the accusations
