Given the unfathomable distance to the nearest star, no alien biological or physical entity could ever reach earth. Sure they could. I would state it differently - I think it is highly unlikely aliens would visit us for the reasons you mention. But it can't be ruled out. But because of these vast distances I think aliens and man will stay pretty close to their homes. It almost a certainty that man will never travel to another galaxy. It is 2.5 million light years to Andromeda.

With that being the closest large scale galaxy to boot,much less anything past that.

Ben Rich, retiring head of Lockheed Skunk works--that created the SR71 said that Einstein had a mistake in his equations and they knew what it was and had corrected it.
