Maybe it is just me but if I were ‘stuck’ in an oppressive country, not of the same color as 87% of the people living in the country, couldn’t compete with the 87% because everyone is ‘against me’?
I believe I would endure some hardships and see if I couldn’t move someplace to where I am more ‘compatible’ to my skin color and/or dialogue.
AND since I am so ‘smart’ I should be able to go to my new country and HELP them reach the goals I am able to reach with a ‘new start’.

When I was in Japan for the better part of 4 years I figured that unless I wanted to spend ALL my time in the waterfront dives - where the locals were able to communicate with us BECAUSE they wanted & needed OUR money - oh not that there is anything wrong with the waterfront dives — I should learn enough of the language to at least get by and communicate with people, when to smile, when to frown etc....

While I never really made it off the waterfront, that was my choice and I adapted to my surroundings.

I have always contended that it was a very’sorry’ person that wasn’t able to order a drink and make contact with the ‘local’ locals in their language...

Like on another post, the caption...IF you insist on flying YOUR country flag in MY country why do you complain when WE want to send you back to your ‘true love’?

Simple question...

As to the dissenters, like I used to tell the ‘small percentage’ that would sit around the VFW complaining about most anything club wise...”You know, if you 4 would get a couple more like minded friends and attend a meeting NOW AND THEN, you 6-10 could have a big portion of the club on your side seeing as only 30 or so show up for meetings, you all would ‘own’ the place in a few months, but I guess you have figured out it is better to keep everybody here, during ‘play hours’ stirred up”.

Things have gotten worse for blacks since the 1960s because their “leaders” told them to sign up for welfare as reparations, programs that pushed fathers out of the home and people out of the workforce. This created intergenerational poverty that had previously been on the decline and sky high crime rates that hadn’t existed a generation before.

Reference: Walter Williams

Academics teach that the breakdown of the black family is the legacy of slavery and discrimination. They ignore the following facts. In 1950, 72 percent of black men and 81 percent of black women had been married. Also, only 17 percent of black children lived in single-parent households; today it’s close to 70 percent. Every census from 1890 to 1950 showed that black labor force participation rates exceeded those of whites. During the late 1940s, the unemployment rate for black 16- and 17-year-olds was less than that for white teens.
