We have been in this restaurant/bar for over an hour. They’re playing classic rock, mostly ‘70s. Their music service has yet to play a single woman’s voice - not even a duet. Not even *backup*. #JustNoticing
Maybe they played a married woman’s voice, however.
Maybe Betsy is in a “Man’s Cave” during “Man’s Hour.” Maybe she isn’t welcome there and didn’t notice.
So many Americans are such ***holes these days. They wake up in the morning just looking for something to piss and moan about. Spoiled brats? Yes.
Go someplace else then, Betsy.

Just a note for you - they have these things call MP3 players. You should have an app on your phone for them. Anyway, you can actually download music to your phone and listen to exactly what you want to hear whenever you want to hear it. Isn’t that cool? You could download all of the single-women singers, then use headphones next time you go to that racist restaurant. /s

Wife and I went out Friday night to dinner with another couple, then stopped in a local watering hole/distillery for a taste of their signature bourbon. Two tables over were 4 very attractive young ladies and a middle of the road looking young man.
At one point I made eye contact with him and instead of a smile/nod that said "nicely played" my smirk seemed to convey what I was really thinking - "girls night out, and you're just one of the girls..." I could literally see his face "fall" as he realized I was silently laughing at him... Seriously, you're at a distillery that makes a signature level bourbon, and you're drinking some sugary mixed drink like the other ladies at the table? {snort}

I lived through the 1970s and the airwaves were full of Carly Simon, Linda Ronstadt, Stevie Nicks, Olivia Newton-John, Donna Summer and at least several hundred other major female performers.
Take all the hits from the 1970s and put them on shuffle and you may well hear an hour or two of just male voices (or maybe all female voices). Means nothing. And even if the restaurant was purposely avoiding songs sung by women, so what?
Women like this are not doing their gender any favors at all by sending out tweets like this. Once a woman wraps herself in a mantle of victimhood, she is confirming for all to see her insecurity and her inferiority. A victim is looking for rescue. Maybe she is waiting for a man in shining armor to storm into the restaurant on his war-horse and force the owner to put on a Helen Reddy record.

Funny you mention that. I have a “Female Vocalists” playlist on my phone ranging from jazz, torch, folk, traditional to contemporary. Sometimes I’m in the mood to listen to female voices. I didn’t know I was such an enlightened guy.

This sort of thing really bothers me. Because everybody knows the best music was made in the ‘50s.

Very very few Wings hits lovely Lind’er is not on...singing and playing (albeit imperfectly at times).
Someone obsessed with “equality” of outcome. Surprised she didn’t record the age, sexual orientation, race, language, religion and disability status of the artists, and complain if they didn’t line up exactly with the percentage of those in the population.
