I saw the movie last night with my daughter who is a 16-year-old. We both thoroughly enjoyed the movie. And yes there were some slight political overtones, which I was preparing myself to cringe, but they werent so bad. I would recommend the movie if indeed there was a good storyline, plenty of action, and good acting.
funniest line was when the villain(an American) says he'd rather die like his ancestors that jumped from slave ships than goto prison
Does this mean that our country, the one that elected Obama twice, and rushed out to see this movie, is no longer racist for not electing Hillary?
It’s worth the price of admission. Taken at face value it’s a very good movie. The SJW stuff is there but it’s not horribly blatant. Don’t let it make you crazy.
"Maybe I'll go to the movies.......by myself!"
I refuse to go and be preached at. I am sick of the sanctimoniousness regarding blacks.

“Black Panther”?
No, I’ve endured 8 long years of the “Black Pussy”.
I’ll pass.....
I respect your decision to avoid modern entertainment. There are a lot of people who choose to live as if it is the 1960s in Kansas.
I respect them less when they voice opinions based on no experience at all.
I went to see this movie this morning in fact. It was an OK film. It was a little preachy; but it also had a message of unity and that those who have, have an social obligation to help others. You know...like Christianity.
By the way, they are making Passion of the Christ II! Jesus comes back. And he’s pissed. (Seriously, they are doing a sequel. Collect some cans...because you will be going back to the Theater sometime in the next year!)
Do theaters take EBT cards for this movie?
Indeed tokens are required in quota lists.
I’ll watch it when it’s released through Netflix. It’s in my queue for future releases. If my youngest son was still living near me, I’d be going with him to see it. He’s been a Marvel comic book fan since he was little. If it wasn’t for him, I’d have never watched any of the movies.
Damned racist White people appropriating Black culture by buying tickets to a Black super hero movie!
I don’t avoid modern entertainment, I simply don’t go to venues where modern entertainment is showcased and prefer to choose my modern entertainment and take it in the comfort of my own home. I am an audiophile primarily and I enjoy reading literary works and scientific research documentation which stems from a profession of technical manual editing by way years working with communication systems.
You obviously missed my intent when I said the last movie theater I was in was during the run of The Passion. Not that I live under a rock in Kansas...
I work in telecom and I am a ham. I have to read tech stuff often.
God bless you if you read tech research. I eat that stuff in small doses.
I was serious about another Passion coming out. That is one of a handful of movies I actually own.
Black Panfer rules the erf.
Hollywood has only one job; entertain us.
If they can do this, they've succeeded.
Wife & I saw the movie yesterday.
It’s a fun entertaining ride.
