I mixed wild turkey with Jim Beam once and got rather ornery.
Just once.

I like the 101 proof straight out of the freezer.
Ill never touch Jim Beam again though. Shudders...

Some years ago a goose made the mistake of trying to walk across the Baltimore-Washington Parkway during rush hour.
A couple of drivers dodged him, but he didn’t get past me.

She saw the turkey in the road, thinking it would yield and get out of the way. It didn’t.

Gracious! It is! Thank you for pinging me to this thread; I would have never seen it. :)
Mariner, we had a wild turkey, in Wethersfield, CT that did pretty much the same thing. He became quite a celeb....even with his own FB page:

Eventually, for the safety of Kevin and drivers, he was relocated.

Locals, all loved him; we decided he was attracted to shiny, chrome hub caps/wheels. Often wonder how he adapted to his new home.

You need to experience sitting near a roosting tree on an early Ozark's morning and hear a flock fly down around you.
That will get your heart rate up.

Hitting an adult turkey hard enough to kill one would probably take care of some of the plastic aerodynami***t in the lower front of a modern car. I finally found out what the “comprehensive” part of my policy meant when I took out a raccoon while on the way home, on the freeway, one dark night.
