WWE...Most people understand that the WWE announcers are part of the entertainment package and just as fake as the wrestling contests.

What people fail to understand is that WWE is a parody of 60 Minutes and Dateline and What Would You Do and similar magazine programs.

The producer or some other person (usually off camera) writes a script and coaches some, but not all, of the players in a game of Let's Play a Fast One on Joey or of Let's You and Him Fight. See Games People Play by Eric Berne, Games Alcoholics Play by Claude Steiner, Games Community Organizations Play by Bob Schmidt. Those books describe the way the games are played.

I've sat in numerous Alinsky Organization meetings where the media and the Organizers negotiate the spin of the story. In some cases the Organization has a great story that is desirable as an exclusive by one network. In other cases the Organization wants desperately to get a non-worthy story on TV, usually to prop up the ego of one of the Leaders.

Depending on the law of supply and demand, one side will agree to provide a young hot babe to sleep with a guy on the other side in exchange for getting what they want. I've seen young hot on-camera babes and young hot interns sleep for a story. And more often, some young, hot welfare mom or community organizer sleeps with an old Harvey Weinstein type power figure in exchange for the story.

This is also the tactic the press was doing when they colluded with one another on the talking points via Journolist. Hundreds of so-called journalists were members. They would determine who would ask what question at press conferences with the president, what the talking points would be, etc.

I doubt they’ve stopped the tactic, they’ve just moved deeper underground. And most of the public is unaware it was ever exposed or who all was involved.
