I don’t believe the smell of death ever goes away. I have seen houses where the person died in bed and lay there in the heat for days if not weeks. Awful.

that’s not the 1/2 of it. Try a few more days and when you arrive the windows are black. Yes black from fly’s. The smell has the capacity to knock you out the front door like a backdraft. Not only that the exploded body with all the maggots is really a gruesome scene.
Ugh.....and I just had dinner. I’d take a tent first!
