According to my realtor - a seller must disclose if someone has died in the home. You are not required to disclose if your house has been burglarized. Buyers and their agents should also do ‘due diligence’.

Rules may vary by State of course.

As you said, it varies by state. Here in TN, it isn’t a thing. When we sold in CA, I think that was on the form.

I guess I wouldn’t care if someone died in a house. On our family farm where Mom lives, several generations have been born, lived, and died, in the place. I don’t think weird stuff happens there.

Realtors also have to disclose if the house is haunted.

Thanks, that seems only fair to the buyer. Still sometimes see “sopdoodle” & I crack up. ; )
