Good point. Better yet...these fans clamoring for sw to be this or that...why dont the fans write their own versions? You can have it as you want...will cost time and about a dime. Cant be that bored or useless to worry about what marketers and propagandists can massage onto a screen.

They have, and do ... I have never googled Star Wars "fan fiction", but expect over 2,000,000 hits on Google and several thousand on YouTube.
There are some VERY well done YouTube videos mashing up Star Trek TOS stock footage with more than passable sets and actors, done at no profit so Paramount leaves them alone. Even the scripting is good. Amazing what people are doing.
