This choice/decision, I guarantee you, was Michelle Obama's. Even at the beginning she was always trying to re-create and downgrade the appearance of a Pres. and first lady to how she saw these offices.....even the art work she brought into the whitehouse was out of sink ......and she knew it....her actions were with purpose.....

Remember the rags she first wore...

Look at the crap she put on the walls in the Whitehouse dining room..that was never in their living quarters
