The Great Revolt of 1855 represented a great burst within the country which expressed the oppression they felt under the English. I guess, that’s the point. We both felt the English oppression intolerable.

The Sepoy rebellion was initially Muzzis going Jihad. There was some spread to the Hindoo, but it was largely a Muzzi operation.

You’re right. The “rebellion” was started by a few would-be terrorists whon spread the rumor that the soldiers’ cartridges - which the had to bite before loading - were smeared in pig fat. False, of course, but moslems have a shorter fuse than cannon.
