Probably just a Christian hater.
I tip a the wait staff because:
* I take their time to ask questions about the menu
* I expect them to bring my food promptly but not if there’s something wrong with it
* I expect my drink to always have something in it
* In general I expect prompt service when I know their time is shared with other customers
None of which is true for a pick-up order. I don’t tip for pick-ups, nobody is doing anything but cashing me out.
OK. How does the take out order get boxed and bagged? Magic?

Understood. I can be quite generous for good service. But I refuse to be ripped off for crappy service And take out has never been a tipping scene. Since as you point out it just doesn’t include most of the service to begin with.
