I don’t agree. I tip well for table service, but I never tip for takeout. I have never heard of tipping for takeout, and I worked in a restaurant kitchen.

I don’t tip for takeout, in the sense that if I have 3 beers and get a sandwich to go...I’m tipping on the beer price and service - not the sandwich.

If I just order a sandwich to go - I might tip a buck, just to be a good sport - but I don’t think it’s expected.

Correct. Tipping for takeout is a new on on me.

However, for a gigantic takeout order like this one, it's appropriate enough to tip, I believe.

But I've never considered it proper to tip for a routine takeout order. Heck, that's one of the reasons you place a takeout order—to avoid the tip associated with table service!
