Jay-Z made a surprise appearance alongside the parents of Trayvon Martin at a Miami event that honored the late teenager Saturday.
Standing next to Martin's mother Sybrina Fulton and father Tracy Martin at the Betty T. Ferguson Amphitheater, Jay-Z delivered a short speech to the hundreds of marchers at the sixth annual Peace Walk & Peace Talk, the Miami Herald reports.
"We want to make sure that we stand and support and never forget that Trayvon serves as a beacon of light to the people out here. So you guys will never have to go through the pain and hurt that these guys went through," the rapper said.

Zimmerman was ultimately acquitted of the murder as a result of Florida's controversial Stand Your Ground law.
Absolute lie!! SYG had nothing to do with it. The acquittal was pure self-defense. Martin would have bashed Zimmerman's brains out if Zimmerman hadn't got in a lucky shot and exterminated the subnhuman that was trying to murder him.

I could think of 10 better role models, women and men, for black people and I’m not even black.
Trayvon Martin never served as any “beacon of light” to anyone. He just turned out to be a burned out bulb/punk.
Dr. Ben Carson is a “beacon of light” because he not only healed people, but because he showed that his skin color was not an impediment to achieving his American dream and that hard work paid off.
Jay-Z should look at his own life and thank Dr. Carson for helping to show the way to his own success.

Trayvon Martin peace walk? Had Trayvon Martin anything to do with peace, he’d (probably) be alive today.
But Harvey didn’t molest any black women - isn’t that racist or something.
