According to the new book “Any Resemblance to Actual Persons: The Real People Behind 400+ Fictional Movie Characters,” by Hal Erickson (McFarland), the range of traits and accomplishments that can get one’s life turned into movie magic is as broad and mysterious as Hollywood itself. Just consider the names mentioned above, who inspired, respectively, the characters of Roxie Hart, Indiana Jones and the Dude from “The Big Lebowski.”
