The fact that we have devolved into a culture where its normal for a significant portion of the population to have to look to anyone other than their own father for a hero says more.

When I read people commenting that sports figures were there heros, I can only feel sad for them in knowing what trash they must have had for parents.

There is only one person who is truly perfect, good enough to be anyone’s hero. There are others whom I at least admire, however. Calling them ‘heroes’ is just semantics.
