Good grief, can't you recognize a typo? He meant fraidy cat. And your post goes to the heart of what the OP is getting at.
1. English is such a nightmare in terms of spelling ...
2. Many quality vital FREEPERS do not have a master's degree in English ...
3. The priority is "communicative competence" (a technical term) not polished flawless fluency in written or spoken English. i.e. Do the folks posting mostly get the essentials of their message across regardless of spelling and other English errors? Yes, they do.
4. Prissy responses about spelling errors, grammar errors etc. can be overly insulting and distracting to sabotaging of the dialogue.
5. Most FREEPERS communicating with less than perfect English do NOT purposely set out to annoy the OCD grammar Nazi's. They are merely trying to communicate to their more or less best ability. imho, as fellow FREEPERS with shared goals and values, they deserve our respect and support much more than our censure because of being imperfect humans.
6. If their English flaws cause you to break out in hives or rush to the medicine cabinet or bottle--buck-up, toughen up, increase your compassion and resiliency and be encouraging toward dialogue communications vs discouraging.
7. So, some people don't slow down enough to avail themselves of the helpful built-in spell checker. So what. It's NOT the end of the world.
8. It's a LOT better than passivity that they bother to communicate at all. I think we should cheer them on instead of bickering at them about flawed English.
