Leverage does NOT make a person trustworthy. It makes them subject to blackmail.
If person A can blackmail person B, so can person C blackmail person B.
What happens if persons A and C are enemies?
The person who best understand leverage and how it's applied is the one who wins.
The Manhattan real estate market is the most vicious in the world. Trump took what he learned from his dad and extrapolated those principles into an understanding of Manhattan leverage (probably not that different from Queens or Brooklyn leverage...just a bit more expensive and worldly).
What is going on is light years ahead of what appears on the surface.
