If no one has identified Assange’s chess photo, here it is:

Marshall Chess Club New York

Marshall Gambit was played by the US champion against Capablanca.

In the photo, our guy, Frank James Marshall, is playing white, and Jose Raul Capablanca [of Cuba] has black. They faced off in 1909, and played the first 5 games in New York. They then proceeded to other cities, with the final score being:

Capablanca - 15 wins

Marshall - 8 wins

1 draw

No idea which game is pictured; possibly the first NY game which opened with the Marshall Gambit.
