Are we buying any F-15SE Silent Eagles?
They have a 2,400 Mile Range right out of the box.

The F15c with conformal tanks is the poor man’s Silent Eagle. The tanks will give some stealth and a host of other advantages including range canceled weapons and a place to put additional black boxes. The aircraft themselves are overaged and new ones (silent eagles) should be built but....We are only doing it because the F35 is such a dud!

One more thing, this is the plane that the Canadians should have bought it gives them the range to intercept Russian incursions(read Russian bombers) coming over the Artic.
Canada has such a huge land area that the aircraft needed to intercept would have to be something as fast as the F15c with conformal tanks. These would pass those F18s as they fall out of formation with empty tanks.

Canada with a force of high speed long range interceptors would be in the US best interests as well as Canada’s.
Oh wait Trudeau’s PM forget about that!

I don’t think it offers much stealth. You still have those enormous twin vertical stabs, and they aren’t even canted. What you are getting is less aerodynamic drag, and freeing hard points for more armament.

Also those air intakes aren’t very stealthy, either.
