Anyway, it sneaks up on you and before you know it, it is gone.
Logan airport 1980. I'm working there at a restaurant. Correct? Yes, correct. Hockey players heading to Lake Placid. How was I to know that these hockey players would bring home a gold medal? But they did. Mike Eruzione and Dave Silk. Don't remember Jim Craig but he might have been there as well. I served them coffee and pastries before their flight out there. Also, I picked up their dirty dishes and brought them to the dishwasher. Crazy, right? I was just 17 years old. A few months later, I would be at Parris Island in Marine Corps boot camp.
Eric Heiden’s performance in 1980 is still the single-greatest overall performance of any Olympic athlete.
Great story about the “Miracle on Ice” US hockey team.
“You don’t know they are happening until they happen.”
Boy - ain’t that the truth! I see that comcast is very proud of their system for this year. I need to do some investigating, but sounds like you can use the voice command to find events, and they will have numerous (8??) channels devoted to the Olympics.
I used to race cross-country skiing in high school and did very well. I can also shoot okay. I can’t even imagine trying to combine the two! It isn’t the most exciting sport, but I do like to watch it.
Its a leap year /S
