The best dishwasher I ever had was a KitchenAid.

that’s what we got in this house! The house was the 70s, and had never been remodeled. Everything in the kitchen needed replacing, including the cabinets. I guess boxes of cereal must’ve been really short back then…

Anyway this KitchenAid had one of the better reviews on drying dishes. Apparently since the last time I bought a dishwasher, they are environmental Nancy’s are controlling how much energy for dishwashers can use. So most dishwashers put all the effort into getting the dishes clean and then they are fairly wet at the end of the cycle. This one looks pretty well, as long as I put in that gel stuff that helps it dry.

but my favorite dishwasher is still the one that came with the house. It doesn’t clean worth a darn but it doesn’t matter cause I pretty much put my dishes in almost clean. It’s just a habit that I can’t break. But boy does that baby dry! Even plasticware on the top can go right into the cabinet afterwards.

The neat thing is, my husband took everything that was in the upstairs kitchen and made me a kitchen in the basement. I feel so spoiled, I have two kitchens! But it has come in extremely handy for canning in the summer. And if we ever need to we could rent out the basement, it has its own entrance, three bedrooms, bathrooms, and a kitchen. Of course people will have to buy tiny boxes of things since the cabinet shelves are only 7 inches tall And they will have to like avocado green :-)
