I wouldn't say that putting money in the stock market for long term gains was gambling.
Day trading, though, is gambling.
But what I was originally trying to say was that there's not a 100% correlation between the health of the economy and daily or weekly or monthly market trends.

The stock market wolves were starved for the past 8 years and are ravenous.
With the confidence the Trump administration brought, the market was once again flush with fresh meat. they have been waiting along time for this kind of "profit taking"

Totally agree...
Though I've known of some good day traders...never knew one personally. Maybe some are good gambler's..but not my thing.
Sometimes I become a day trader...just because of the circumstances.
