A civilian friend in San Diego had a 124 Spyder for awhile and I put some great Freeway miles on it. Nice driver and great fun back in the early ‘70’s. I always wanted to throw around an X19 but never got the chance.
I had an MGB. Someone had rewired the car, all with black wire. Was impossible to trace any electrical faults. Broke down the first time my wife drove it.
So, in other words, an average doofus did a wiring job just as good a MG professional did at the factory.
