Is it a female?

Nice heh. Love walkers too.
We have two old fashioned black and tans. They’re about to gp big cat hunting soon.
I still need to look into the rules for bears.

I grew up in N FL. They run walkers on deer and blueticks on coons and deer. At the end of the deer hunting day we would ride down the dirt roads in the game areas and the walkers would all get lost because they outran everything else. They knew to come out and lay by the road and somebody would pick them up. Everybody just picks up whatever dogs they find and puts them in the dog pen by the ranger station. Sooner or later they all get home. Walkers are great dogs.

AP photos aren’t allowed on FR. You may want to
hit abuse and get the Mods to pull it.

I can testify! Our Beagle has become WORTHLESS! He’s become a house dog - which is good in that I can monitor this Fat Boy’s diet, but WHO will keep the bunnies out of my garden come Spring?
I guess it’s up to the Basset Sisters! (They are stone cold killers in their cute Mossy Oak PINK collars, LOL!)

“Everybody just picks up whatever dogs they find and puts them in the dog pen by the ranger station. Sooner or later they all get home. Walkers are great dogs.”
It’s the exact same way around here! If I have to do dog chores because Beau is hunting or plowing snow in the winter, or on some construction project in the summer, it’s not unusual to find a ‘spare’ mouth to feed until we can find his/her owner.
Others have ‘found’ our dogs in the past and fed and watered them and returned them in fine shape. Gotta love The Hunting Life!
(Just make sure every dog is chipped and/or has really sturdy collar tags!)
