So, they drop the olive-bland digital BDU and go back to woodlands...

Excellent, now the Army surplus stores can get rid of all of their old stock.

Congratulations, Army, you just wasted half-a-billion dollars on uniforms.

Well, the pattern is pretty close to the old Woodland BDU’s, but the blouse pockets are more like the old jungle fatigues.

I am sure someone got a nice bonus for doing this. But I think my 4 year old could do this with her “Fashion Designer Set”.

What’s with you two?

1. The army BDUs in digital concrete grey sucked: lousy camouflage, odd neck closure. They needed a better combat uniform.

2. Uniforms evolve, as they should to meet new requirements.

3. If it costs a “Bazillion dollars” so what? Those soldiers are some of very few able-bodied folks volunteering to maybe face death for all of us. Better uniforms and maybe better weapons are the least we can do for them.

The Army always believes that changing the uniform is the key to improving moral.

Good, maybe they will resurrect the khaki class B uniform which was a great looking ensemble.
