When I heard that he did not have a drivers license and tried to run from the scene of the accident, I figured three scenarios.
1. He had outstanding warrants
2. His drivers license was revoked due to previous DUI’s
3. He did not have a drivers license because he was not here legally.
And the answer was behind Door 3.

As soon as I read his name I knew it. Call me jaded, but living here in Eastern Washington, being surrounded by Hispanics, it’s practically a given that any wreck or other crime you hear on the news has at least some Hispanic involvement.

I live in Indiana and watched the local news coverage of this yesterday. It was the story right after the Superbowl news. They spent 2 minutes on it and did not mention the perp’s nationality once.

Cannot say that I am surprised, but just watched the local NBC affiliate WTHR News last night after work.
NOT ONCE, did they mention Illegal alien, just “Drunk Driver”. They did not even dare to. They said “Police are angry about this crash”, but implied that it was because of drunk driving, not because of another death caused by An illegal.
